Züri, Heineken Baby-Beer and french cheese affairs
[9.8.-14.8. Zürich] Passing by a beautiful landscape with lots of mountains i reached Zürich Mainstation via Innsbruck and Liechtenstein after seven hours, where Raphi and Inger picked me up. I was the first one to arrive, so i got a special sightseeing tour through town the first day and through some bars at night. By bike through town was quite an adventure (i was trying to follow Raphi...the accentuation is on trying!), took the Polybahn to university, went to the lake (Zürichsee), to El Local, Mata Hari (where this strange german guy was so proud that he tricked the german Treasury while telling everyone he could find) and to this dark-trance-Bar where all clothes that were not deep black, marked us beacon-like as non-dark-trance-followers, which was quite amusing to see - after all the nightlife in Zürich is very multifaceted! During the night i fell off my air-mattress two times (how´s that possible?!) hoping the next morning it was not because of the prices in Switzerland which scared me to hell (for comparison only: A menue at McDo costs 12,- Schweizer Franken which is more or less 8,- Euro). But as Martin, one of Raphis friends said later, you have to live and work in Switzerland to be able to afford life. On thursday evening Aleksis and Ieva arrived by car, bringing four boxes of Heineken Baby-beer (0,15 l), several bottles of wine and a big box of french cheese that was smelling as strong as a big box of french cheese can smell like!
