[20.8.-22.8. Zaragoza] It was time to leave Barcelona to go on to Zaragoza to see Leti at her parents place! Cat and Alessandro wanted to come for two days as well, so we would be four again (three if Cat got lost on the way;).
So we all left on sunday morning - i catched the next train while the french-italian couple took a bus to Zaragoza, because it´s way cheaper than taking a train in spain unless you don´t travel with an interrail-ticket. Leti wrote me a message that she will be waiting for us, and that we were not supposed to eat a lot because her mama´s paeya was waiting for us! That was great, because i was already starving in the train...
Only three hours later i arrived in Zaragoza, where Leti and her father got me at the brand new trainstation and brought me straight to their flat by car, where Letis mum was already waiting with some spanish food! Later we catched Cat and Ale from the Busstation, and Leti showed us around downtown; like the cathedral with the two bombs inside, which did not explode in the civil war or some roman parts that were rebuilt.
Zaragoza is the perfect town to get lost - i normally have a good sense of orientation, but here i was completely without an idea ... luckily Leti knew the way. Also completely without a sense of orientation was the woman at Burger King in the Shopping Mall, where we went the second day. Alessandro tried to buy a Doublecheeseburger but the woman switched to slow-motion; 20 minutes for one burger and Alessandro was shocked ("I´m shocked")!
But when we got home that evening we got again Tortilla, Paeya, these big shrimps, Calamares, snails (ok ok, the last ones i did not try), spanish cerveza and coffee before we went to a chinese Bar called Waterloo. There´s one thing i haven´t seen before that seems to be common in spain: In almost every bar you through your trash on the ground, rest of food, napkins etc. It will be cleaned when the bar closes at night - that´s crazy when you recognize it for the first time!
